Credentialing Date Calculator

Check verification aging against the 120/180-day limits, find reappointment due dates and work out FPPE and temporary privilege end dates.

Check every result. These calculators count calendar days in your browser (nothing is sent anywhere). They are a convenience, not compliance advice. Your accreditor's current standards, your bylaws and your policies decide how days are counted and which dates apply.

Verification aging (120 / 180 days)

From the Accreditation page: NAMSS's Industry Credentialing Standards (voluntary) recommend primary-source verifying all 13 of its credentialing criteria within 180 days before the credentialing decision. For NCQA Credentialing Accreditation and NCQA health plan accreditation, most primary-source verifications must be no more than 120 days old at the credentialing decision; work history and the signed application attestation can be up to 180 days old. For NCQA Credentialing Certification, most limits are 90 days (120 days for work history and the attestation). These NCQA limits apply to files processed on or after July 1, 2025.

Reappointment due date

From the Providers page: CMS recommends reappraisal at least every 24 months when state law sets no timeframe; TJC allows appointment and privileges for no more than 3 years; NCQA recredentialing is every three years. Your bylaws set your cycle.

Some bylaws end a term on the anniversary, others the day before. This tool shows the anniversary date.

FPPE & temporary privileges

From the Accreditation page: FPPE starts when privileges are granted, including temporary privileges. Its length is defined ahead of time by your medical staff. TJC limits temporary privileges to no more than 120 consecutive days.

Day counts are calendar days between the two dates (the later date minus the earlier date). Month and year math lands on the same day of the month; if that day doesn't exist (for example Feb 30), it uses the last day of the month. See the Disclaimer.
